Luxembourg Media Engineering
Web development and hosting project with friends — I run the infrastructure: Proxmox, Coolify, DNS and backups.
LME started as a PROMA school project and is now something we run for real: we build websites with Laravel and host them on our own infrastructure. The goal is to turn it into a registered company.
My part
- Proxmox host with VMs for the hosting stack
- Coolify as the deployment platform — push to Git, the site is live
- DNS, proxying and TLS through Cloudflare
- Backups with Proxmox Backup Server
- Hetzner for services that need to run outside our own network
What I learned
- Creating and managing VMs in Proxmox for real workloads, not just lab tests
- Managing domains and DNS records, and what the Cloudflare proxy actually changes
- Setting up Coolify and hosting several sites on infrastructure we control
